Nor the color of skin you have.

You are not about the pink in your lips,

Or about the paleness in your cheeks.

You are not about the makeup you wear,

You are the dream and even the nightmare.

You are the confidence in your walk,

The cheer and words in your talk.

You are the painting in the dullness,

You are the hope in others dark.

You are the wisdom in your words,

The better you make out of the worst.

You are not the comparison with them,

You are the shade that’s the best.

You hold the future for yourself,

Your courage is healing your scares the best.

Those scares are the shine you will see,
